# Alan W. Brown

> Professor of Digital Economy at the University of Exeter Business School, Research Director at the Digital Policy Alliance and AI Director at Digital Leaders. A research-based practitioner in AI transformation: 20 years building enterprise software (Carnegie Mellon SEI, Texas Instruments, Sterling Software / Computer Associates, IBM Rational, where he was a Distinguished Engineer and European CTO) and 15+ years researching how organisations change. Author of Making AI Work for Britain (2026, open access).
